Do Shiu Ching was also the head of the Anti British
Boycott Committee. The individuals holding office in the union have changed and no longer pay lip service
to the cause of communism; but the organization still
retains its political character and its anti-foreign
and particularly anti-British bias. Although this
union is not permitted to establish itself in fong Kong,
it is not the case that seamen there are unrepresented.
In fact two Seamen's unions exist here and there is no
reason to suppose that the interests of the seamen
would be better served by the addition of a third.
